Angels of the Sea
Angels of the Sea reveals a quiet, inner power — raw, embodied, and present.
Beneath the surface, silence becomes perceptible. Its presence arrives as an invitation.
Breath is held longer. Effort remains. Hierarchies dissolve.
And then, for a brief moment, the act of doing recedes — allowing attention to settle into what is already there.
Tatiana was not chosen.
She arrived.
My collaboration with Tatiana unfolded organically. What began as a conversation over dinner evolved into a deeper exchange about life, experience, and identity.
My initial idea — rooted in the embodiment of a specific energy — shifted as our dialogue opened onto questions of representation, presence, and visibility.
It became clear that this work needed to expand. Tatiana was not a model chosen to embody a vision — she was the vision.
The project transformed accordingly.
New sketches emerged. A new direction took shape. What mattered most was that she felt seen — not symbolized, not abstracted, but recognized.
When the images and accompanying words came together, that recognition was affirmed.
Seen. Heard. Acknowledged.
This is what we owe one another.
May we continue to see and hear one another more fully.
